On Wednesday, 19 June 2013, at night at 4:20, in Anykščių district municipality, on J. Biliūno street, at the junction with Liudiškių street, a collision with barriers occurred. The accident involved a Mitsubishi Galant. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (17 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.05‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
