Opel Astra hits a drunk pedestrian on the Vilnius–Utena road
On Friday, 1 November 2013, in the afternoon at 13:20, in Vilniaus district municipality, on the Vilnius–Utena main road (kilometre 37), an Opel Astra hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by a 24-year-old pedestrian, who committed traffic rule violations that contributed to the accident. He was drunk (2.30‰ blood alcohol). The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
