On Saturday, 11 January 2014, in the morning at around 9:00, in Klaipėda, on Švyturio street near No. 12, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz V230, a Honda Civic and a Lexus IS 300. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
