Drunk Daewoo driver and Volvo crash at Žemaitės and Architektų streets, Šiauliai
On Friday, 14 March 2014, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Šiauliai, on Žemaitės street, at the junction with Architektų street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Daewoo Leganza and a Volvo S70. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the Daewoo (34 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He was drunk (1.79‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
