Mazda and Mercedes-Benz truck crash on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda road
On Friday, 31 October 2014, in the afternoon at 11:50, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 89), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mazda 323 and a Mercedes-Benz Actros 1844 LS registered in Belarus. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 72-year-old driver of the Mazda (9 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober.
