On Monday, 15 June 2015, in the evening at 20:20, in Šilalės district municipality, Kvėdarnos town, on K. Jauniaus street near No. 13, a Ford Mondeo hit two pedestrians away from any crossing. Two people were injured — a 66-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient) and a 55-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 53-year-old driver of the Ford (25 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction and failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene.
