Drunk DAF truck driver hits a parked Ford at Vytauto Landsbergio-Žemkalnio and Žalgirio streets, Radviliškis
On Friday, 4 September 2015, at night at 2:29, in Radviliškio district municipality, on Vytauto Landsbergio-Žemkalnio street, at the junction with Žalgirio street, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a DAF FT XF105.460 and a Ford Mondeo. One person died — an 20-year-old other. The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of the DAF (20 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.01‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
