Unlicensed Volkswagen Golf driver hits a pedestrian in Lančiūnavos village
On Saturday, 14 January 2017, at night at around 2:00, in Kėdainių district municipality, Lančiūnavos village, on Liepų alley near No. 21, a Volkswagen Golf hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person died — a 21-year-old pedestrian. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (9 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered.
