On Wednesday, 4 April 2018, in the morning at 8:10, in Kauno city municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 98), a Volkswagen Passat hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 57-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (10 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. All drivers were sober.
