Opel Vectra and Volkswagen crash on the Panevėžys–Šiauliai road
On Monday, 23 April 2018, in the evening at 17:13, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Šiauliai main road (kilometre 5.60), a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved an Opel Vectra and a Volkswagen Golf. Two people were injured — the 42-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (treated as an outpatient) and a 14-year-old passenger of the Volkswagen (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 59-year-old driver of the Opel (34 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
