Renault Premium truck rolls over on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda road
On Monday, 14 January 2019, in the evening at 17:45, in Kauno district municipality, Juodonių village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 113), a Renault Premium 450.19 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 59-year-old driver of the Renault (40 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
