Hit-and-run, unlicensed Citroen C5 driver runs off the road in Skaisterių village
On Wednesday, 20 November 2019, in the evening at 17:42, in Vilniaus district municipality, Skaisterių village, on Skaisterių street near No. 5, a Citroen C5 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Citroen (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
