On Monday, 10 February 2020, in the morning at 7:50, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Klaipėda–Liepoja (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 4), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Ford Focus and a Volkswagen Passat. Two people were injured — a 63-year-old passenger of the Volkswagen (hospitalized) and a 41-year-old passenger of the Volkswagen (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the Ford (13 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, there was freezing rain, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
