Peugeot hits a pedestrian at a crossing at Vytauto and Liepų streets, Garliava
On Tuesday, 22 September 2020, in the evening at 20:45, in Kauno district municipality, on Vytauto street, at the junction with Liepų street, a Peugeot 406 hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 62-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the Peugeot (30 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
