Dodge Challenger and another car crash on the Šiauliai–Palanga road
On Thursday, 23 January 2025, in the evening at around 19:00, in Šiaulių district municipality, Lukšių village, on the Šiauliai–Palanga main road (kilometre 5), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Dodge Challenger and a car. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Dodge (10 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
