On Wednesday, 24 April 2013, in the morning at 10:49, in Plungės district municipality, on the Mažeikiai–Plungė–Tauragė national road (kilometre 56.68), a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the MAZ 544069 (17 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He was drunk (2.76‰ blood alcohol).
