Skoda hits a pedestrian at a crossing at Savanorių avenue and Sausupio street, Vilnius

On Monday, 16 December 2013, in the morning at 7:13, in Vilnius, on Savanorių avenue, at the junction with Sausupio street, a Skoda Octavia hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 19-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the Skoda (22 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 60 km/h.
