On Wednesday, 19 November 2014, in the evening at 17:08, in Pasvalio district municipality, on the Papyvesiai–Krinčinas–Gulbinėnai regional road (kilometre 3.94), a collision with a bicycle occurred. The collision involved a Volvo V70 and a bicycle. One person was injured — a 60-year-old cyclist (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the Volvo (33 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.28‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
