On Wednesday, 27 January 2016, in the evening at 17:15, in Vilnius, on Sodų street near No. 22, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Renault Espace and a Volkswagen Sharan. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 63-year-old driver of the Renault (45 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
