BMW and Buell motorcycle crash at Laisvės avenue and Žemynos street, Vilnius
On Wednesday, 17 May 2017, in the afternoon at 12:40, in Vilnius, on Laisvės avenue, at the junction with Žemynos street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a BMW 525 D and a Buell. Two people were injured — the 27-year-old driver of the BMW (treated as an outpatient) and the 39-year-old driver of the Buell (severely injured, hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the BMW (9 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober.
