Opel Astra-G-Caravan driver hits a parked Kia and flees on Neries embankment, Kaunas
On Saturday, 7 October 2017, at night at around 1:00, in Kaunas, on Neries embankment near No. 13, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Astra-G-Caravan and a Kia Sportage. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Opel (10 years of driving experience). He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
