Peugeot and Volvo truck crash on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda road
On Sunday, 8 October 2017, in the evening at 18:25, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 31), a collision occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot 607 and a Volvo FH. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Peugeot (13 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet.
