Nissan driver flees after hitting a pedestrian at a crossing at Verkių and Žirmūnų streets, Vilnius
On Wednesday, 8 November 2017, in the evening at 17:40, in Vilnius, on Verkių street, at the junction with Žirmūnų street, a Nissan Almera hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 22-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 72-year-old driver of the Nissan (24 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. She fled the scene. The driver was sober.
