Drunk driver's MTZ Belarus-50 tractor rolls over in Grigulių village
On Monday, 26 March 2018, in the evening at 17:36, in Šilalės district municipality, Grigulių village, a MTZ Belarus-50 rolled over. One person was injured — a 51-year-old passenger of the MTZ (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 47-year-old driver of the MTZ (25 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.02‰ blood alcohol). A 51-year-old passenger of the MTZ was drunk (2.22‰). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
