On Friday, 1 June 2018, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Kaunas, on Islandijos highway, at the junction with Plento street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz E270 CDI, a MB registered in Poland and a trailer/semi-trailer > 10 t. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 63-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (28 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober.
