Ford Focus and PGO moped crash on the Babriškės–Varėna–Eišiškės road
On Thursday, 5 July 2018, in the afternoon at 16:45, in Varėnos district municipality, on Vytauto street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Ford Focus and a PGO. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 72-year-old driver of the Ford (23 years of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules. Both drivers were sober. The 26-year-old driver of the PGO had no driving licence. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
