On Friday, 13 July 2018, in the morning at 9:43, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Anykščiai–Troškūnai–Panevėžys national road (kilometre 50.30), a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved an Opel Vectra and a Volkswagen Golf. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober.
