On Friday, 7 September 2018, in the afternoon at 13:35, in Šilalės district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 210.70), a traffic accident occurred. The accident involved a car and a Fiat Ducato. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 66-year-old driver of a car (33 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober.
