Unlicensed Peugeot driver and Renault crash on the Švėkšna–Bliūdsakiai–Šyliai road
On Friday, 24 May 2019, in the evening at 19:40, in Šilutės district municipality, on the Švėkšna–Bliūdsakiai–Šyliai regional road (kilometre 2.70), a collision occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot 206 and a Renault Megane. Two people were injured — the 65-year-old driver of the Renault (treated as an outpatient) and a 62-year-old passenger of the Renault (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Peugeot, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober.
