Drunk, hit-and-run Volkswagen Sharan driver hits an obstacle in Upynos village
On Wednesday, 4 December 2019, in the morning at 5:17, in Telšių district municipality, Upynos village, on Kuršėnų street near No. 23, a Volkswagen Sharan hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 53-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.56‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was raining, the road surface was wet.
