On Monday, 23 December 2019, in the afternoon at 13:25, in Telšių district municipality, on Šiaulių highway near No. 12, a traffic accident occurred. The accident involved a DAF and a Krone SDP27. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the DAF (7 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
