Unlicensed Isuzu driver and BMW crash on the Vėžionys–Dainava–Pabarė–Butrimonys road
On Thursday, 13 February 2020, in the evening at 18:21, in Šalčininkų district municipality, on the Vėžionys–Dainava–Pabarė–Butrimonys regional road (kilometre 17.08), a collision occurred. The collision involved an Isuzu Trooper and a BMW 530. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the Isuzu. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
