On Saturday, 18 April 2020, in the evening at around 19:00, in Panevėžys, on Savitiškio lane near No. 1, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a BMW and a Skoda. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the BMW (5 years of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
