On Friday, 1 May 2020, in the afternoon at 15:30, in Telšių district municipality, on the Žarėnai–Lieplaukė–Alsėdžiai regional road (kilometre 18.30), a Seat Alhambra ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the Seat, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.55‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
