Drunk, unlicensed VAZ driver runs off the road on Sodo alley, Alantos town
On Thursday, 14 May 2020, in the afternoon at 14:45, in Molėtų district municipality, Alantos town, on Sodo alley, a VAZ 21061 ran off the road. One person was injured — the 37-year-old driver of the VAZ (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the VAZ, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.36‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
