Drunk, unlicensed driver's Renault Espace rolls over in Paliesio village
On Monday, 8 June 2020, in the afternoon at 12:54, in Kelmės district municipality, Paliesio village, on the Kiti keliai local road (kilometre 1.60), a Renault Espace rolled over. Two people were injured — the 47-year-old driver of the Renault (severely injured, hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt) and a 15-year-old passenger of the Renault (hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 47-year-old driver of the Renault, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.94‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
