Opel driver flees after hitting a pedestrian at a crossing at Vytauto avenue and Šiaulių street, Kaunas
On Saturday, 13 March 2021, in the afternoon at 12:15, in Kaunas, on Vytauto avenue, at the junction with Šiaulių street, an Opel Signum hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 61-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the Opel (23 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
