Hit-and-run Mazda driver and Honda crash on the Vilnius–Utena road
On Saturday, 28 August 2021, in the afternoon at 16:26, in Vilniaus district municipality, on the Vilnius–Utena main road (kilometre 21), a Mazda 6 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 78-year-old driver of the Mazda (25 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
