On Friday, 1 October 2021, in the evening at around 22:00, in Klaipėdos district municipality, Vaitelių village, on Miškų alley near No. 10, an Opel Zafira hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Opel (11 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
