Drunk driver's Volkswagen Passat rolls over on the Panevėžys–Šiauliai road
On Wednesday, 22 December 2021, at night at 3:20, in Radviliškio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Šiauliai main road (kilometre 60.23), a Volkswagen Passat Variant registered in Latvia rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.16‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
