Drunk, unlicensed driver's Opel Zafira rolls over in Pilvingių village
On Monday, 18 April 2022, in the afternoon at 11:40, in Varėnos district municipality, Pilvingių village, on the Kiti keliai local road (kilometre 0), an Opel Zafira rolled over. One person was injured — a 47-year-old passenger of the Opel (hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.76‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
