On Tuesday, 8 November 2022, in the evening at around 21:00, in Klaipėdos district municipality, Klipščių village, on Planetų street, an Audi A6 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Audi (14 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.93‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
