Drunk, unlicensed Opel driver hits a parked Volkswagen in Pagirių village
On Saturday, 16 September 2023, in the afternoon at 14:40, in Vilniaus district municipality, Pagirių village, on Šiltnamių street near No. 12, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel and a Volkswagen Touran. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 60-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.46‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 30 km/h.
