Suzuki Grand Vitara hits a child at a crossing on the Panevėžys–Šiauliai road
On Tuesday, 9 January 2024, in the afternoon at 15:15, in Radviliškio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Šiauliai main road (kilometre 55.78), a Suzuki Grand Vitara XL-7 hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 13-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 57-year-old driver of the Suzuki (25 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
