On Tuesday, 16 January 2024, in the afternoon at 15:40, in Kretingos district municipality, on Klaipėdos street near No. 70, a bus hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 16-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 63-year-old driver of a bus (23 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
