On Sunday, 16 June 2024, in the morning at around 5:00, in Šalčininkų district municipality, on the Pašalčiai–Naujadvaris regional road (kilometre 13.40), a Volkswagen Passat ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (0.88‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
