On Wednesday, 7 May 2025, in the morning at 5:45, in Šiauliai, on Žemaitės street near No. 93, at the junction with Birutės street, a Mazda Tribute hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 38-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 70-year-old driver of the Mazda (25 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
