On Saturday, 29 November 2025, in the evening at around 18:00, in Kretingos district municipality, on Žemaitės alley near No. 4, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat and an Audi A6. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
