Drunk driver runs off the road on the Klaipėda–Liepoja road
On Saturday, 21 June 2025, in the morning at 5:12, in Palangos city municipality, on the Klaipėda–Liepoja main road (kilometre 27.70), a car ran off the road. One person died — the 30-year-old driver of a car (was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of a car (11 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
